The new 2025 Ram 1500 RHO is a remarkable truck that's expected to arrive in the third quarter of 2024. It replaces the legendary Ram 1500 TRX which means it won't have the beloved 702-horsepower HEMI® V8 engine. It will, however, have the same platform with a Baja-ready long-travel suspension system as well as the same TRX components and wide-body look. The front end has been redesigned and the luxurious interior has been enhanced.

Consider investing in the new RHO Equipment Group package
The new 2025 Ram 1500 RHO will be offered in just one trim level but there's a lot to be said for adding the RHO Equipment Group. With that extra investment you'll get a bigger 14.5-inch infotainment screen, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a 360-degree exterior camera, heated and ventilated front seats with a massage function, a head-up display and a premium 19-speaker stereo.
The engine and performance
The new 2025 Ram 1500 RHO will come with the same twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that you'll find in the Jeep Wagoneer. It generates 540 horsepower and is teamed up with an eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. The new 2025 RHO will have Bilstein Blackhawk adaptive shock absorbers as well as a specially-tuned air spring suspension system that gives the rear axle as much as 14 inches of travel.
Ground clearance is the highest among all Ram 1500 trucks at 11.8 inches thanks to a suspension lift and 35-inch all-terrain tires. The 2025 Ram 1500 RHO comes with forged aluminum front control arms and offers a set of 18-inch beadlock-capable wheels. Performance lags a little behind the awesome Ram 1500 TRX but still hits the 60-mph mark in 4.6 seconds and reaches the quarter-mile in an impressive 13.1 seconds.
Towing and payload capability
The all-new Ram 1500 RHO doesn't have as much towing capacity as the standard Ram 1500 which comes in at up to 12,750 pounds. But with a maximum towing capacity of 8,380 pounds it's still capable of pulling a speedboat. The maximum payload in the new RHO is 1520 pounds which is a little less than the standard Ram 1500 that's capable of hauling up to 2321 pounds.
Interior highlights
The interior is where the Ram 1500 has established a major beachhead and sets the bar for all half-ton pickups. The performance-focused RHO reflects that same luxury standard in a crew cab with a short cargo bed, the only body style that's available. Leather and suede upholstery come standard and you can get interior upgrades like carbon fiber accents and upholstered dash panels. For an even higher level of luxury, massaging front seats are included as part of the RHO Equipment Group package.
Technology
The 2025 Ram 1500 RHO will have some of the same advanced technology as other members of the Ram 1500 family. That includes tech features like a newly available 14.5-inch vertically-oriented touch screen with Uconnect® 5 software, and that screen is an available upgrade from the standard 12.0-inch display. A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster comes standard and a 10.3-inch touch screen serves the front-seat passenger.
